Important Updates for the Eye Study and Form

New Collection Method

The study can now accept swabs in lieu of blood samples for newly enrolled dogs. Only the specially designed study-approved swabs will be accepted.These swabs can be requested from Fulvia Bartoli at: askthefoundation@gmail.com.

Clear Dogs Needed

If your dog is CLEAR, over 8 years old, and not currently enrolled in the study, we need them in the program. Please submit:

  • A recent CAER form (completed after age 8)

  • A study-approved swab

Affected Dogs

If your dog is affected, please submit:

  • The required Eye Study  Form

  • A study-approved swab

The Form form can be downloaded above  or from the Cataract Research page on this website or requested by emailing askthefoundation@gmail.com.

 
Important Reminder

Only approved study swabs will be accepted. To receive the correct swabs, contact me, Fulvia, with the number you need, and I will mail them to you.
