ASC and ASCF Health Registry & Rewards Program
The American Spaniel Club (ASC) and the ASC Foundation are committed to improving the health of Cocker Spaniels. Through our partnership with the OFA CHIC program, the ASC Foundation offers rebates and rewards to encourage breeder participation in health screenings.
What’s New
• Foundation Rebate Continues: Submit hip and eye exams and receive a $5 rebate per dog.
• New Rewards Program: ASC will award $150 to the owners of the Sire and Dam of Futurity Best of Variety Winners. No winners? The rewards will roll over and be added to the reward total incrementally.

Rebate Program Details
Breeders who submit BOTH hip and eye exams for a Cocker Spaniel to the ASC Foundation OFA CHIC Health Registry in 2025 are eligible for a $5 rebate per dog.
To qualify:
• Dog must be over 2 years old.
• Must have:
o Penn Hip or OFA hip evaluation
o ACVO or CAER eye exam
• Both exams must be registered with OFA.
Bulk Discount:
• Submit 5+ dogs together to receive a $5 discount per dog (rebate not included).
• Additional tests (Cardiac, Patella, DNA, etc.) can be submitted with CAER results for no extra fee.

How to Submit to OFA
Online Submission:
1. Create and verify your OFA Online account.
2. Start an application with your dog’s info and exam details.
3. Upload a clear scan or photo of the completed exam form.
4. Repeat for additional dogs and submit.
By Mail:
• Send original exam forms to OFA (make copies first).
• Submit 5+ dogs together for the $10 per dog rate.
• No online account required.
• OFA accepts checks or credit cards.
• Instructions are on the back of the CAER forms.

ASC Foundation Rebate Process
The ASCF offers a $5 rebate per CAER OFA submission.
How it works:
• Each January, send a list of dogs whose CAER results are posted on OFA.
• ASCF will verify and issue a rebate check.

Health Registry Rewards Program
ASC Foundation is rewarding the owners of the Sire and Dam of the three Futurity Best of Variety Winners from:
• Cocker Spaniel National Specialty
• ASC Flushing Spaniel Show
Reward Amount:
• $150 to the owner(s) of the Sire
• $150 to the owner(s) of the Dam
Eligibility Requirements:
1. Sire/Dam must have a CHIC number (verified on OFA).
2. Must have a valid eye exam within the past 12 months (on OFA).
3. Must have a hip evaluation after age 2, graded fair or better (on OFA).
4. No winners? The rewards will roll over and be added to the reward total incrementally.
